All applicants who have been assessed as International (Overseas) fee status and are unconditionally accepted to the University of Dundee for any programme are required to pay an advance payment of 50% towards their tuition fees, before an Admissions Letter and (for applicants applying for a visa to study) CAS statement is issued. (Exceptions:- International and UK/EU fee status applicants have to pay an advance payment of 50% towards tuition fees for the following programmes within a set period of time – this is detailed in the offer letter :- Master of Orthopaedic Surgery, MSc Human Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception, Master in Forensic Dentistry, Master in Forensic Odontology and MDSc Prosthodontics )
Once you have an unconditional offer and have made an advance payment we can issue your final admissions letter and CAS statement letter (International requiring a visa) or Certificate of Acceptance for Home/EU/International not requiring a visa applicants. You can find out more about our Admissions processes, and the stages involved, on our How to Apply webpages: undergraduate or taught postgraduate.
For Overseas applicants who have to apply for a Tier 4 visa we encourage you to pay more than 50% of the tuition fees as this demonstrates your commitment to study at the University and from previous student and Agent experience, improves the strength of your visa application. All pre-paid fees and payments towards accommodation are listed on your CAS statement letter for your visa application.
If you are a self funding international or Home/EU applicant, applying for a course where the fees are the same for both International and Home/EU applicants, if you pay Full tuition fees by specific dates you maybe entitled to either a 10% or 5% discount of tuition fees which will be refunded 4 weeks after you matriculate. For further information see the Early Payment discount webpage.
For details on how to make a pre-payment and how to pay your tuition fees, please see the How to Pay Your Tuition Fees webpage.
