Veronica McKinny

Veronica McKinny completed a BSc in physics and a BA in cognitive science, both with highest honors, at Lehigh University (USA) in 2018. She is now working towards a PhD in physics through the Soft Matter and Functional Interfaces (SOFI) CDT at the University of Edinburgh under supervisor Professor Wilson Poon. Her project is in collaboration with Professor Niamh Nic Daeid at the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science, with a focus on how blood dries onto fabrics and how subsequent washings affect what biological matter is left behind.
