Dundee nominated in Whatuni Student Choice Awards

The University of Dundee has been shortlisted in two categories at the 2015 Whatuni Student Choice Awards. Over the past year, more than 20,000 students across the UK have cast their opinions for the next Whatuni Student Rankings. The rankings are based on averages taken from thousands of reviews submitted by students and, with the results now having been tallied, Dundee is in the running for two awards – Clubs & Societies and Student Union. `My Diabetes My Way’ wins top UK award

Saltire, Scotland’s superhero, will make his return in a sequel to the acclaimed debut to be launched at DeeCon 2015, the country’s biggest free anime, animation and art convention. 12-hour volleyball marathon to bring about ‘spike’ in coffers

The University of Dundee’s volleyball club will this week be setting, serving, digging, spiking and blocking for 12 hours straight. Members will be holding a 12-hour marathon volleyball fundraiser at the University’s Institute of Sport & Exercise (ISE) from 8am-8pm on Friday, 20th March. The funds raised will be split between the club and Dundee Disability Sports Centre. DJCAD graduate wins £14,000 Fleming-Wyfold Bursary

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD) graduate Edward Humphrey’s burgeoning career has been handed a massive boost after being named as the winner of the £14,000 Fleming-Wyfold Bursary. Edward was announced as the second recipient of the annual Fleming-Wyfold Bursary at the opening ceremony of this year’s Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) New Contemporaries exhibition. He will receive a bursary of £10,000, plus £4,000 production costs for the next year.
