Research leads to change in medicine labelling for salt content

University of Dundee research that showed high salt levels in common medicines put patients at increased risk of cardiovascular events has led to a recommendation for a Europe-wide change in labelling legislation for medication. The 2013 study, led by Dr Jacob George from the University’s School of Medicine alongside collaborators from University College London, showed that millions of patients were exceeding the recommended daily limits for sodium, without any additional dietary intake. ‘Tomorrow Was a Montage’ – work of celebrated East European artists to take place at Cooper Gallery

The next exhibition to take place at the University of Dundee’s Cooper Gallery will bring together work by three generations of Polish and Hungarian artists around the practice of montage. Men aged 25 and 34 sought for art project

A Fine Art student from the University of Dundee is appealing for 25 and 34-year-old men to take part in a project helping her to deal with the death of her brother nine years ago. Mhari Davidson’s younger brother Shaun was only 25 when he died in 2006. She is looking for nine men of the same age as Shaun was when he died and another nine the same age as he would be now to pose for photographs as part of her work examining the changes that people undergo during that nine-year period and wondering what her brother would have been like now.
