Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship – Africa

The University of Dundee is offering scholarships of £5,000 per year of study - up to a maximum value of £25,000 - to applicants living in Africa.

To be eligible for an award, you must meet all the following criteria:

  • Have an offer to study:
    1. A full-time, Undergraduate course excluding any courses in the School of Medicine or the School of Dentistry OR
    2. A full-time, 180-credit postgraduate taught course over the course of 1 year. If you are studying a 2-year full-time postgraduate taught course, you may be eligible for the award in both years. 
  • Commencing studies at ICD in September 2023, November 2023, January 2024, April 2024 or June 2024
  • Be domiciled in an African country (please see the Vice Chancellors scholarship pages linked below for a full list of eligible countries)
  • Have International fee status as determined by the University of Dundee. 

You do not have to submit an application for this scholarship.

Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships – South Asia, Mainland China, Indonesia

The University of Dundee is offering scholarships of £4,000 per year of study - up to a maximum value of £20,000 - to applicants living in South Asia, mainland China, and Indonesia. 

To be eligible for an award, you must meet all the following criteria:

  • Have an offer to study:
    1. A full-time, Undergraduate course excluding any courses in the School of Medicine or the School of Dentistry OR
    2. A full-time, 180-credit postgraduate taught course over the course of 1 year. If you are studying a 2-year full-time postgraduate taught course, you may be eligible for the award in both years. 
  • Commencing studies at ICD in September 2023, November 2023, January 2024, April 2024, or June 2024.
  • Be domiciled in a South Asian country, in mainland China or in Indonesia (please see the relevant Vice Chancellors scholarship pages linked below for a full list of eligible countries).
  • Have International fee status as determined by the University of Dundee.

Global Citizenship Scholarship

Our Global Citizenship Scholarships recognise applicants who demonstrate strong alignment with the University of Dundee's values of valuing people; working together; integrity; making a difference and excellence. 

To be considered for a scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Have an offer to study a full-time International College Dundee course.
  • Commencing studies at ICD in September 2023, January 2024, April 2024, or June 2024.
  • Have International fee status as determined by the University of Dundee.
  • Not be eligible for a Vice-Chancellor’s Regional Scholarship (Africa, South Asia, Mainland China, or Indonesia).

If awarded, the scholarship will apply a tuition fee discount up to the value of £5000 to each year of study at the University of Dundee (maximum 5 years for undergraduate; maximum 2 years for postgraduate) once the applicant has successfully completed their programme at the International College Dundee AND progressed to their chosen University of Dundee continuation degree.

Award: £5,000 per year of study

Note: You will need to apply for the Global Citizenship Scholarship before you join ICD. You will receive details of how to apply from the student advisor who will contact you once you have applied to International College Dundee.

Discover Life Sciences at the University of Dundee Scholarship

The University of Dundee is offering scholarships of £2,000 per year of study - up to a maximum value of £10,000 - to applicants who enter an eligible Undergraduate course in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee in 2023/24 or 2024/25.

To be considered for a scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Have an offer to study a full-time eligible Undergraduate course in the School of Life Sciences.
  • Have successfully completed your programme at International College Dundee and progress to your continuation degree in in the 2023/24 or the 2024/25 academic year.
  • Have International fee status as determined by the University of Dundee. 

If awarded, the scholarship will apply a tuition fee discount to each year of study at the University of Dundee (maximum 5 years) once the applicant has successfully completed their programme at the International College Dundee AND progressed to their chosen University of Dundee continuation degree.

Award: £2,000 per year of study

There is no application form for this scholarship. Your eligibility will be assessed as part of your course application. You will be notified in writing if you have received a scholarship.

ICD Progressing with Excellence Scholarships (PWES)

Students studying at ICD will be assessed for this scholarship based on their academic performance while studying within the College. Upon successful completion of study at ICD students will be assessed, and if they meet the scholarship criteria, they will be awarded the International College Dundee Progressing with Excellence Scholarship.

Award: £6000 per year of study

Additional requirements

If students meet the criteria for more than one of the following scholarships, they will be awarded the highest-value scholarship only:

  • Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship
  • Global Citizenship Scholarship
  • ICD Progressing with Excellence Scholarship

These scholarships cannot be combined with any external partially funded tuition fee scholarships. Students must select the scholarship they wish to accept.

Note: Students eligible for a Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship cannot apply for the Global Citizenship Scholarship.
