Transitions Community Compass series - March 2023

For this session we will hear from Liz Stevenson who has worked in school improvement for the last 7 years, initially focused on transitions between KS2 and 3 and now more involved in collaborative school to school support.

She has brought her experience from her days as a Transition Manager to that of her wider school improvement role in a much larger LA to develop a new and innovative long term, transition support curriculum, based on skills and RHSE. Using the research carried out alongside Dr Charlotte Bagnall, she is now working with 15 schools across Birmingham to trial this new curriculum.

She will be in conversation with Dr Charlotte Bagnall, University of Manchester, who undertakes primary-secondary school transitions research. The conversation will focus on Liz’s professional experience of supporting transitions.
