Give As You Earn

The University operates a charity giving scheme where you can give to the charity of your choice through your salary.
This is an Inland Revenue approved scheme. By making a regular contribution through salary, all donations are subject to tax relief. This means that if you contribute £20.00 per month, the net affect on your salary is £16.00, £12.00 or £10.00, depending on your particular tax bracket.
How to participate
- Fill in the donor instruction form on the Give as You Earn website
- Complete this, showing your monthly contribution and charity/charities to whom you are making the donation(s)
What payroll does next
After receiving the completed form we will implement the request on the next pay run.
A copy of the form will be passed to the Charities Aid Foundation, based in Edinburgh.
All monies deducted from salaries will be remitted to the Charities Aid Foundation on a monthly basis.
